I would like to see a trend that leads the market away from unattached affiliate marketing- a business model in which the affiliate marketer has no connection to the product or service they are promoting. They lack expertise or authority in the niche of the product and cannot make claims about its use.

Businesses that rely solely on unattached affiliate marketing are missing out on the opportunity to build strong relationships with their audience and promote products that they genuinely believe in.

It would be better for a brand to build more long-term and genuine relationships with their affiliates rather than just using them for short-term campaigns.” 

As brands rely more heavily on affiliate marketing now more than ever, Reed suggests,

we will see further optimization of commission structures and performance tracking, leading to more effective marketing campaigns and increased revenue for both affiliate publishers and brands.
