What is FintelBot?

FintelBot is a web crawler operated by Fintel Connect. It monitors publicly available web content on behalf of Fintel Connect’s clients — primarily tracking changes to financial product pages, partner publisher content, and publicly listed offers across the web.

FintelBot is not a search engine indexer. It does not build a public search index, resell crawled data, or scrape pricing data for competitive purposes.

User-Agent

All requests from FintelBot use the following user-agent string:

Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; FintelBot/1.0; +https://fintelconnect.com/crawler-info)

You can verify a request comes from FintelBot by:

1. Confirming the user-agent matches the string above
2. Confirming the originating IP is within our declared IP ranges

Behavior

• robots.txt: FintelBot reads and obeys robots.txt directives before crawling any path on a domain.
• Crawl-delay: FintelBot respects Crawl-delay directives in robots.txt and will not exceed the rate you specify.
• Sensitive paths: FintelBot avoids crawling sensitive paths.
• Content use: Crawled content is used exclusively for monitoring changes on behalf of Fintel Connect’s clients. It is not redistributed or made publicly available.

If you receive traffic claiming to be FintelBot from an IP not listed here, treat it as suspicious and do not grant it access. We will update this table and the last-updated date at the top of this page whenever our IP ranges change.
